Lenten Penance Service
We will have our Lenten Penance Service on Thursday, March 19, 2026. We will have a short prayer service beginning at 6:45pm followed by Confessions. We will meet in the church building. Please feel free to come and feel the forgiveness of the Lord.
A helpful tool to help prepare for this service of grace and forgiveness is a printed Examination of Conscience guide to help us to know what sins we should confess. Here is a link to one such tool: examination of conscience

Prison Ministry
Thank you! To everyone who helped make this drive a success! The response was immense. Three prison facilities are covered in the distribution: Wilcox, Pulaski, and Dooly State Prisons. Your generous contributions have real effects on the lives of these inmates.
Congratulations Fr. Jason Adams
Congratulations to Fr. Jason who was installed as Pastor of St. Matthew’s in Statesboro. We are so proud to be your home parish. Fr. Jason is the son of Billy and Joy Adams and the grandson of the late Pat and Joyce Fitzgibbons.
St. Theresa Feast Day
We were able to celebrate St. Theresa on Sunday, October 1, with an afternoon social. Lots of fun was had by all!
Social Sunday
Every first weekend of the Month is “Social Sunday”. We have refreshments after each weekend Mass for everyone to gather together and catch up with each other. Our next “Social Sunday” is August 3 & 4. Everyone is welcome to join in the fellowship.
Children’s Living Stations of the Cross
Our Religious Education students presented the Living Stations of the Cross on Friday, March 31, 2023. It was very touching to see them show what Jesus did for us.
Stand For Life 2023
On January 28, 2023, we were able to show our support for all life from conception until death.
Religious Education
Our Religious Education classes will resume August 20, 2023, at 11:00 am. All children Pre-K and older are encouraged to come and learn more about God and the Catholic religion. Registration will be on August 5 &6 during Sunday Social.
